The entire trajectory of your life-long dietary habits/choices can change quite dramatically depending on the type of podcast you listen to or the book you pick up at the local bookstore and decide to read. In fact, almost all of them are written from well respected “gurus” in the field – from MDs, DCs, NDs, RDs, etc.

So…Who is right?

The truth is, oftentimes, simple but very hard to implement. In fact, common sense is NOT ALWAYS COMMON PRACTICE! What if I were to tell you that there is really only ONE way to eat and that it starts with the following dictum,

“EAT ONLY FOOD AS THEY ARE FOUND IN NATURE.”

This simple notion literally makes up (for most people) a near 80% of the entire dietary equation. The rest, of course, is based on your biochemical individuality, subjective factors (experiential, feelings, emotions), objective data (specific food sensitivities, diagnostics such as blood work, etc.), our culture, food availability, and so on. Everyone, however, jumps to the 20% as the starting point! This is the WRONG starting point!

Our Current State of Affairs – The Bad News!

For the first time in history, we are living in a time where we are witnessing a complete divergence between our genetics, lifestyle habits and technological advancements. This divergence is responsible for all the degenerative diseases, stressors, and unhappiness that now plague man and womankind. The agricultural revolution (10,000 years ago), the Industrial Revolution (200+ years ago) and finally the “processing of America” (within the past 50 years), represented by the massive intake of processed foods, animal products, materialism, competition, disconnectedness, separation and environmental devastation, are all mere “specks of time” on our evolutionary tree. Our children are unable to distinguish between real food and manufactured/processed food. Our relationship with our fellow sentient beings is unacceptable. Our path is destructive, and our legacy to future generations is questionable
