DR. REPOLE’S WELLNESS & NUTRITIONAL PROGRAM

STEP #1:  UNDERSTANDING THE BASIC NUTRITIONAL AND WELLNESS CONCEPTS

Chronological age is based on your calendar year – your year of birth

Biological age is based on your current health status. It is your actual physiological “age.” It can be higher or lower than your birth age. For example, one can be 30 years old chronologically, however, their physical body may be 50 based upon various abuses (smoking, drugs, etc.)

You Are One In a Million

There is not another person exactly like you. Your personality, outward appearance, your fingerprints – all are uniquely your own – different from anyone else on earth. So, too, are your nutritional needs! Hippocrates is believed to have said, “One Man’s Food is Another Man’s Poison.”

The Simple Truth

Most people who promote a particular dietary program insist that theirs is absolutely the best and only way to health. What they are actually saying is that their particular “diet” worked for them. The simple truth – your diet and supplemental needs can only be accurately answered through nutritional testing and proper nutritional counseling.

* Nutritional recommendations must come from scientific validation.

* Not all vitamins and supplements are created equal. Whole food vitamins are natural and more biologically adapted to our body’s biology.

* The better you eat and feel the fewer supplements your body will require.

* Dietary habits contribute to over 50% of all diseases!

* There is nothing more important than your health and the health of your loved ones.

* The first step in any nutritional regimen is a detoxification program to help cleanse all organs of elimination.

STEP #2:  INITIAL ASSESSMENT & DETERMINATION OF YOUR NUTRITIONAL & HEALTH RELATED DEFICIENCY, INDIVIDUALIZED DIET AND TRUE “BIOLOGICAL AGE.”

Your 1st Nutritional Exam can include the following:

Vital Signs: Blood pressure, pulse, respiration, height, weight

Heart Rate Variability: computer heart rate monitor to determine the status of your autonomic nervous system, and the ability to adapt to stress.

Body fat analysis: There is growing evidence that links excess fat weight with both health risks and the development of certain diseases. New research indicates that fat loss not weight loss can extend human longevity. By measuring body composition (Fat weight and muscle weight), a person’s health status can be accurately assessed and the effects of both dietary and physical programs better directed. How will my body fat be analyzed? A method called Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis is used to analyze for fat weight and muscle weight. Body impedance (resistance) is measured when a small safe electrical signal is passed through the body carried by water and fluids. Impedance is greatest in fat tissue, which contains only 10-20% water, while muscle mass, which contains 70-75% water, allows the signal to pass much more easily. By using the impedance measurements along with a person’s height, weight and body type (gender, age, fitness level) it is possible to calculate the percentage of body fat, fat-free mass, hydration level and other body composition values. All of the gathered information is used to create your nutritional and wellness program.

Basal Metabolic Rate: assessment of your “metabolism” – a function of your thyroid gland. It is the amount of energy expended while at rest to maintain your vital organs from functioning.

Stress Testing: Blood pressure stress test for functionality of your adrenal glands.

Salivary and Urine pH: a great overall measure of your acid and alkaline balance.

Food Diary Analysis: analysis of your current protein, carbohydrate, fat, vitamin and mineral content to allow for customization of meal planning.

Oxidata Test : Determination of your free radical levels. This urine test is 50 times more sensitive than a blood serum test for measuring the degree of free radical activity. Free radicals are formed with almost every biochemical reaction in the body. Damage from free radicals can lead to cellular degeneration that may result in allergies, arthritis, fatigue and many other conditions. High free radical levels can eventually contribute to the onset of cancer.

Indican Test : this test measures the amount of indicant in the urine. The putrefaction of undigested foods within the bowels creates indicant. High levels of indicant can indicate many conditions, including the presence of undigested foods, small intestine obstruction, diminished bile flow and stomach disorders. The test will help to determine the type and length of your detoxification program.

Urinalysis: Tests for presence of blood, pH, liver and kidney imbalances and presence of white blood cells (infection).

Computerized Symptom Survey & Medical History

Oxygen Saturation and Lung Capacity Screen

Vitamin C Test: Helps to determine your Vitamin C levels which are important to   both your immune system and cardiovascualr health

Calcium Test: Bone, Nerve and Muscle Function Screen. Helps to determine your Calcium levels and the need for supplementation.

Chem-10 Urinalysis includes: Liver & Kidney function, protein screen, pH levles,  presence of infection, blood, glucose and bacteria.

H20 Hydration Levels

STEP #3: REVIEW OF ALL YOUR TESTING RESULTS. CREATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF YOUR INDIVIDUALIZED DIETARY/SUPPLEMENTAL & WELLNESS PROGRAM

On your return visit, the doctor will review all your test results and answer any questions or concerns that you might have. A detailed written report will be given to with your test results and treatment protocol.

After the first visit an individualized wellness program will be designed and implemented step by step over subsequent visits through the following phases.

Phase #1

The Fine Tuning Period. Once you start on your initial nutritional/wellness and supplemental program, it generally takes three to six visits to COMPLETELY fine tune your basic personal nutritional program. These visits are normally completed in weekly intervals.  During this time we will be reviewing your diet and offering you guidance to any essential improvements in order to maximize your gains.

      Phase #2

The Natural Healing and Observation Period. After your initial “Fine Tuning”period is completed, meaning that your nutritional/wellness program is stabilized, you will be ready to start on your next step, the “12-week Healing and Observation Period.”  This part of your healing cycle normally does not require continuing weekly visits. Indeed, most people find that optimum progress can be obtained by having a regular schedule of check-ups every other week for the 12 week period. During this period we will be monitoring your results as to allow for appropriate changes in doses, and/or adding or deleting any particular supplement or recommendation.

      Phase #3

The Maintenance Phase. Once you have achieved a more optimum health level, naturally you will want to stay well! That is most easily accomplished through regularly spaced visits over the next year and beyond. Frequency is determined on an individual basis anywhere from monthly, to quarterly, semi-annually, or even annually. Each individual is different. Most maintenance programs require lesser amounts of nutritional supplements & wellness/lifestyle coaching than we needed in the earlier phases of your program to “protect your investment in your health.”

YOUR TREATMENT PLAN WILL INCLUDES:

1. Customized Vitamins/Minerals/Herbals

2. Meal Planning

3. Detoxification Program for all organs of elimination: Liver, Kidney, Skin, Lungs, Intestines, & Sinus

4. Weekly or Monthly Monitoring

5. Nutritional Classes: Cooking, Reading Food Labels, etc.

And Much More!

STEP #4: ADVANCED AND SPECIALIZED TESTING

During your Fine Tuning Period additional testing may be required to appropriately pinpoint the cause of your health ailment. (see section - Specialized Testing)
